Our Shop Foreman Gerald Barber

Gerald Barber is our Shop Foreman and  is a Cerftified ASE Master Technician. He has received all of the BMW Factory Technical training and is also an  award winning Certified Porsche Premiere Master Technician. Before he started working on BMW he attended all the Factory schools and  is also a Certified Audi Master Technician. His over 20 years of German car experience makes him  a tremendous asset as there is no substitute for experience. He is  responsible for Service Quality and handles our toughest technical diagnostic issues. His hobby is computers. (Good thing !)
Jerry McCutcheon
Jerry McCutcheon is a Certified ASE Master Technician, Certified Audi Master Technician, Certified Porsche Master Technician as well as a Certified Land Rover Master Technician. He received the highest score in the U.S. on the ASE Transmission Overhaul Section of the certification exams. He likes to work on challenging jobs and his attitude is "no job too tough".
Robert Grant is ouir other Top notch BMW Master Technician. His nickname is Junior. He is a Certified ASE Master Technician and Certified Factory Trained BMW Master Technician. He was the Shop Foreman at a local BMW Dealer before coming to Momentum. His 25+ years of BMW Dealer experience, working strictly on BMW has built him an incredible product knowlede level, and he is a recognized expert on everything BMW. Between him and Gerald there is no BMW problem too tough for them.
Stephen Roddy is our Service Advisor.  He is a fully Factory-Trained BMW Master Technician. He started working for a BMW Dealer in Houston, way back in 1988,   where Rory was the Service and Parts Director. He achieved the  BMW Master Technician Status by receiving all the Factory Technician Training  while working for the local dealer for eight years. He then took a  four year break to get a degree in engineering from Auburn University.  His tremendous people skills, together with his  in-depth understanding of the technical  aspects of the vehicles we service, makes him the  perfect link to the shop. He has  a great knack for explaining mechanical things in an easily understandable, patient, friendly manner. We are proud to have him.
Carl Spiller is a Certified Factory-Trained Porsche Premier Master Technician. There are only 20 or so Premier Porsche Master Techs in the U.S. and we have two working here at Momentum. To be a Premier, you have to complete all the Porsche Factory schools ,and have an ASE Master Technician credential.You are then offered  a series of  written tests put on by Porsche Cars of North America. If you pass them, you are  Premiere Master, if you fail, you are not, and you can only take the test once. Porsche then offered him the  job of Regional Technical  Troubleshooter for the Southeast U.S.  visiting Dealers and fixing their problem cars. He decided against that opportunity and we are glad he is with us. He is our Porsche Shop Foreman and turns out nothing but the highest quality workmanship.

Jimmy King is one of our most versatile techs. He has a background as an aircraft technician. Her switched over to cars as that is what he really likes to do, and we are glad he did. He still holds an aircraft A&P license, so if we ever start working on jets, we will be ready. Jimmy works on BMW and Mercedes. He is married and has a beautiful daughter. Jimmy also helps us with administrative tasks as he likes computers . We know Jimmy will have a long future with our company because he likes to work hard. My favorite can do quote by Jimmy, " A man built it,  a man can fix it"
Josh Macks is one of our newer  additions  to our staff. He is a Certified Factory Trained Porsche Technician. He worked at the Porsche Dealer  with our very own Carl Spiller who trained him.  He worked at a local Porsche Dealer for a number of years, and now he works with us. His favorite specialty is Porsche and BMW.. He is energetic, thorough and has a high degree of energy and enthusiasm.

Jeff Black is our latest addition to our technical staff. He is an experienced full line tecnician with many years of expertise in foreign cars. He worked for a local exotic car and specialty shop for several years right here in Birmingham. He performs the majority of the line work and heavy stuff like transmission and engine pulls as well as brakes steering and suspension on Mercedes and BMW. He enjoys tire and alignment work as well. He is training to add the specialty of Advanced Mercedes-Benz Diagnostics as we have a huge volume of work in that area  with the complexity of the newer cars and the Diagnsostic Equipment that goes along with it. He is an ASE Certified Technician and the proud father of two children. 
Tommy Bishop is a recent  addtion within the last year. He is a fully-trained BMW Master Technician with 25 years working on BMW.
